Beware of Deceptive Website "Grading" Tactics

Beware of Deceptive Website "Grading" Tactics

Lately, we've been hearing from a lot of customers who have been approached by SEO "experts" or other Web developers that have "graded” the client's website for its search engine friendliness. Typically, the client will get a phone call, email or other sales pitch warning that their site has received a failing grade by the salesperson's computerized grading system. The failure centers on poor search engine rankings for key words that were used in the report. Naturally, the sales person has the solution to these dismal grades, and if you'd only switch to them, your problems would be solved.

A few panicked clients have brought this to our attention, and we've been able to assist them in recognizing that these "web graders" often use deceptive tools and misleading variables that inevitably render the lowest possible rankings. For instance, one law firm we know received a failing grade for the term "auto accidents". Well, of course! No one looking for a law firm would type in "auto accidents." They might type in "auto accident attorney", but not simply "auto accidents". Interestingly enough, not a single client of the competitor who prepared this "grading" appeared in Google when we typed in "auto accidents."

With more than 700 clients, Bizzuka has a proven track record of successful website design and Internet marketing.BEFORE you fall prey to this ploy, contact Bizzuka's staff experts to conduct a legitimate analysis for you, or analyze any evaluation results you may receive from competitors.A search engine analysis from Bizzuka is a free service we provide for our clients. If you want to know where you rank and how you can improve your search engine traffic, give us a call.

Bottom line: SEO is an art as much as a science; search engine rankings of your site (e.g. Google, Yahoo) is something we specialize in at Bizzuka. Again, we are proud to be your trusted Web partner and are here for you!
